ALABAMA A&M UNIVERSITY ARRESTS PREACHER JESSE MORRELL
UNLAWFULLY THREATENED, ARRESTED & DETAINNED I have preached all over Alabama without any serious incident from the Police. I have preached on University of South Alabama, University of North Alabama, University of Alabama in Huntsville, and the University of Alabama in Birmingham. It was not until recently, while preaching on Alabama A&M University, that I have run into some serious problems. The Police arrived on campus and immediately told me to leave. I told them that I would leave but I had a few questions. As soon as I took out my video camera, they put me in handcuffs and put me in the back of the Police car. It is a good thing that I had my mp3 watch recording the audio the entire time. The Police told me that Alabama A&M was a private campus, even though they said it was funded by the State. They said I was loitering, trespassing, disturbing the peace, almost causing a riot, and disorderly conduct. They finally released me with a trespass warning, stating that if I return to campus I will be arrested immediately. If they fail to allow me back on campus, without arresting me, I will file a lawsuit through The Alliance Defense Fund. Please keep this case, campus, and Country in your prayers!
