Film is a major tool for mass communication today. The devil has certainly capitalized on the opportunity to utilize these means for evil and we ought to use them to reach the masses for God.
Through our YouTube videos we have reached hundreds of thousands of people all over the world! As a result we have seen people repent and come to Christ through our videos and have also seen a great deal of Christians inspired to become open air preachers and rise up to become new laborers for the Lord. For these reasons, a major focus of our ministry is video production.
I want to make regular high quality films for the internet on the issues of evangelism, theology, apologetics, etc, to better equip the saints for the work of soul winning and to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ across the world.
What I would like to be able to do is to employ a Christian brother who actually makes films professionally to work on certain projects for our ministry. The reasons I would like to be able to employ a professional to help are the following:
1. I am not professionally trained in film and there is a lot of things that I do not know. The quality of our videos would be much better if I employed a brother who has had such training and has filming and editing skills.
2. I cannot film myself preaching in the open air. A lot of the videos that I want to produce relate to open air preaching (how to handle hecklers, how to preach on a campus, etc). In order to get professional shots of open air preaching like this, I would have to employ a brother who knows what he is doing.
3. Working on video projects has consumed a lot of my ministry time and employing another brother would free up my time to preach more, write more, reprint more classic Christian books, etc. By delegating video projects to a brother, my time would be freer to do other things in our ministry for the Lord.
What I am looking for are some brethren who want to be monthly supporters so that Open Air Outreach can have a media budget. I’m asking for a group of believers who would commit to giving $50-$100 a month (or whatever you feel led to give) so that we can have a ministry budget to produce regular high quality films for the promotion of the gospel and the glory of God. The amount of professional films and their duration would depend on how much regular support we receive for them.
Maybe you are one of the people who got saved through our YouTube videos or maybe you are one of the Christians who started open air preaching as a result of them.
