Mission Trip to Teach a Ukrainian Bible School

To Teach Evangelism and Theology

There is a street preaching Ukrainian Church in Washington State who loves and enjoys watching my YouTube videos.

They go out as a church with gospel tracts and signs to preach the gospel on the streets and at local events.

They invited me to come up to help teach evangelism and theology to their summer Bible School as well as to speak at other neighboring Ukrainian churches.

What a blessed opportunity!

As I say in my YouTube videos, all it takes to bring me out to your area is a plane ticket and a place to sleep.

They booked me a plane ticket and I flew out of Tyler TX.

During my flight I noticed we drove past a cloud that was experiencing lightning!

I quickly grabbed my phone to take these pictures.

This is what lightning in the clouds looks like!

Saturday Bible College

Their summer Bible College consisted of young people.

I was very impressed at how serious the young people were about God.

The young men were hard workers and the young women very polite and modest.

This was my first experience with the Ukrainian Christian culture and it was pleasant.

I was introduced to the group and they watched a video introduction to my ministry.

Since this was my first time talking to the group I shared my testimony of how I came to the Lord, so that the group could get to know me better.

Saturday Outreach

Downtown Seattle is one of the churches regular outreach locations.

This was my first time street preaching in Seattle.

There was a very busy section where we set up with our signs and speaker system.

Thousands of people heard the Gospel as they walked the area.

As you can see, the young people all made their own custom sign to bring to the outreach.

The students were given the challenge of deciding for themselves what their signs should say.

Naturally, each sign was different!

Saturday Evening Bridge Exhortation

After the outreach, the group was taken to a popular sight seeing bridge to hang out and watch the sunset.

I took the scenic opportunity to do a YouTube teaching video on evangelism.

The video used to be on my YouTube channel but since I’ve had to reset my channel, I haven’t re-uploaded it yet.

Look for it in the future.

When you open your eyes and look around, you realize that we all live inside of God’s painting.

Sunday Night Church Service

I was given an opportunity to share during the Sunday Night Church service. Unfortunately, no video or pictures were taken. But I exhorted the church in the work of soul winning.

Monday Youth Group

Monday night I was blessed with an opportunity to speak to a Youth group, but again no picture or videos were taken. Again, I exhorted them in the work of soul winning.

Tuesday Youth Group

Tuesday night we traveled to another large Ukrainian Church were I was able to speak. This time I did record the service. It was an inspiring message that I’ll get back on YouTube as time allows.

Wednesday Bible College

I taught their Bible College for six hours this day I think.

I spoke on many things regarding evangelism and theology, like repentance, conversion, atonement, etc.

This wasn’t part of the original plan but when they asked me to teach, I had no problem coming up with enough material.

Be ready in season and out of season!

Thursday Waterfall

Thursday was a free day to me so I traveled to a sight seeing Waterfall nearby that attracts a lot of tourists.

Again I used the scenic opportunity to film a YouTube video on the topic of evidence for Noah’s flood!

Friday Night Church

Friday night I was given another opportunity to speak to a Ukrainian Church.

I was impressed with how open and receptive the Ukrainian Churches were to my ministry and message.

We need more of the conservative Christian Ukrainian culture in the United States.

That is the kind of immigration America needs!

Saturday Prayer Meeting

One of my hosts was a Gideon who brought me to their weekly prayer meeting.

I had never been to a Gideon prayer meeting before so that was a blessing.

Sunday Evening Church

I was speaking at a Church Sunday evening so during the afternoon I went to a local park and a local beach to get alone with God and allow Him to stir up a message in my heart.

Other Things

Apparently I slept through an Earthquake while I was there.

I had never been in an Earthquake before.

I did wake up as a result of it but I thought somebody had shaken me awake and I was so tired that I just went back to bed.

Besides the theology and evangelism, the best part about this trip was the Ukrainian Food!

Honestly, I wish the American diet was more like the Ukrainian diet!

This was a book I bought while I was there.

Interestingly enough, I had just watched a documentary about the Bernie Madoff scam and then found this book for sale in the local library.

Libraries are my favorite place to buy books because you can buy them for only a dollar.

Monday Flight Home

I flew home on Monday after a very busy week of teaching and preaching.

I had spoken to hundreds of Ukrainians.

Preached in something like 5 different churches.

Gave 15 messages or so.

And reached thousands of lost souls on the streets!

It was a blessed mission trip!

FAMILY TIME

When I visited the Waterfall on my day off, I bought a travel chess set for my family at the gift shop.

It’s solid wood and good quality.

It’s nice bringing home gifts for the family when I return from a ministry trip.
